A little about ourselves

The YMCA
Youth & Government program is a nationally recognized and program that
introduces students to the process of governing through a variety of programs
including Mock Legislature, Model UN and Mock Trial. These program teach
student core governing values, research skills, social interaction skills and
public speaking and debating skills. Further, the curriculum is TEKS aligned
with current Social Studies State Standards.
The Austin
HS Club has been in existence for close to a decade and under my directions
we’ve become a State recognized Distinguished Delegation as a whole with close
to a dozen individual students also receiving Distinguished Recognition
including 4 students being invited to attend the National Conference in North
Carolina.
